Red Dawn upon Europe

Arisen from the ashes of its fall, the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics has once more assumed a place of power and dignity in the world. The Red Army has driven the forces of Capitalist Europe to the Rhine and the German nation, perpetrator of tens of millions of Russian deaths, now lies at the feet of Mother Russia. Soviet generals are confident that the rest of Europe will not be long to follow, despite Allied victories in Scandinavia. Marshall Lashnikov, commander of the Germania Front armies, told Pravda reporters that

"The Allies are clearly desparate if all they can show against our glorious successes are a few paltry victories in the wilds of Scandinavia. What use are a bunch of pine trees compared to the factories of the Ruhr? We laugh at the QAEC blockade! Russia is a land nation; we don't need ice!"

In a ceremonial visit to Berlin, Premier Taftikov declared the formation of the Soviet Socialist Workers' Republic of Germany, liberated at last from the hands of its corporationists and bankers. "From now on" he declared "you German people shall forge a new destiny, one in which you will not have the fruits of your labors taken from you by the unproductive leaders of society."
